Features

Every feature, in one list

This page lists what the directory does today, grouped by who uses it. If something you need is missing, ask on the demo call. Most features on this list started as a request from a committee.

Finding and reaching a fellow member

This is what members open the directory for, so it is the part we spent the most time on.

Search by name, category or city
Type a few letters and the list narrows. Filter by trade, batch, chapter or city, in whatever categories your body already uses.
Tap to call, WhatsApp or email
One tap opens the dialler, WhatsApp or the mail app with the address filled in, so nobody copies a number by hand.
Works in any browser
A link and a login on Android, iPhone, tablet or desktop. There is no app store download and no update for members to install.
A photo and the details that matter
Each profile carries a photo, company, designation, categories and whichever custom fields your committee asks for.

02 / 09

Privacy, and who gets to see what

A directory only works when members trust it, so control sits with the member.

DND, channel by channel
A member can hide their phone number from other members and keep email visible, or the other way round, and change it whenever they like.
Members only
The directory sits behind a login. It is not published on the open web and search engines never see it.
Export is for the committee
Only administrators can download the member list. Members see the directory, not the database.
We never contact your members
We do not market to your members and we do not pass their details to anyone, because our customer is the committee.

03 / 09

Keeping the details current

A printed directory is out of date the week it is printed. This one corrects itself.

Members update their own profile
Phone, email, company, designation, photo and the other fields you enable, changed by the member without emailing the secretary.
Add a member from a phone
The secretary adds a new member during the induction meeting and that member is searchable the same day.
Bulk import at any time
Send a fresh Excel or CSV file and we import it, so a merger or a new chapter does not mean retyping.

04 / 09

Circulars, notices and greetings

The committee talks to the whole body or to one group, from the same screen it manages members on.

Circulars to everyone or to a group
Send a notice to all members, or to one city, one category, one batch or one chapter. The system sends it by email and WhatsApp.
Birthday and anniversary greetings
Greetings go out automatically on the day, in wording the committee writes once.
Today's celebrations on the dashboard
Every member sees who is celebrating today, which is the reason many of them open the directory in the first place.

05 / 09

Renewals and fees, collected online

The part committees dread every year runs on its own.

Automatic renewal reminders
Annual members are reminded before their membership lapses, in wording the committee sets, so fewer memberships quietly expire.
Members pay online
Membership fees are paid through the directory itself, and every payment is recorded against that member.
A record you can reconcile
The committee sees who has paid, who has not and when each payment came in, and can export the lot to Excel.

06 / 09

Events, from registration to the door

Registration, payment and attendance for a meeting, a reunion or an annual dinner.

Registration for free and paid events
Members register for an event in the directory and pay the fee online where there is one.
QR code check-in
Every member carries a personal QR code. A volunteer scans it at the door and attendance is recorded without a register.
The no-show list, the next morning
You can see who registered and did not arrive, which matters when you are ordering catering for the next one.

07 / 09

Sponsorship

A members' directory is read by exactly the people your sponsors want to reach.

Sponsor slots inside the directory
The committee decides who advertises, sets the slots and keeps the revenue.

08 / 09

Running the platform

Everything here is ours to worry about, not the committee's.

Cloud hosted
There is no server to buy and nothing to install. Hosting, updates and backups are included in the annual fee.
Your data, exported any time
Download the complete dataset to Excel whenever you want. The data is the association's, not ours.
Support by phone, WhatsApp and email
Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm. Most issues are sorted the same working day.

09 / 09

For larger bodies

What national federations and multi-chapter associations ask for.

Multiple chapters
Each chapter manages its own members while the national body sees everyone.
Custom fields and categories
Add the fields your body actually uses, from GST number to batch year, and make them searchable.
Your own logo and domain
The directory carries your name and colours. On the enterprise slab it runs on your own domain.
A named contact at EbizIndia
One person who knows your setup, rather than a ticket queue.

Where we stop

Memdir is a directory that also collects money and runs your events. It is not an accounting package: it will tell you who paid and when, and hand you a spreadsheet, but your treasurer still keeps the books in whatever they use today.

If you need something beyond this list, say so on the call. EbizIndia builds custom software as well, and we will tell you plainly whether your idea is a small change to Memdir, a separate project, or something you should not spend money on.

Rather see it than read about it?

A demo takes about 20 minutes on Google Meet or the phone, and we will use your own member list if you send it first.

Or call +91 98310 27107, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm.
