Privacy policy
This policy covers the memdir.in website. Member data inside a directory we host for an association is covered separately, in the agreement with that association.
Last updated 3 September 2026. This is a plain-English policy under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are

What this website collects
- What you type into the demo form: the association name, roughly how many members it has, what kind of body it is, your name, mobile number, email address and any notes you add.
- Technical details that come with the request: your IP address, browser user agent, the page you started on, the page that referred you and any campaign tags in the link.
- Measurement data through Google Analytics, if analytics is switched on for your region, which tells us how many people reached a page and which buttons were used. We do not use it to identify you.
This website sets no advertising cookies and no cookies at all unless you submit the demo form, when one session cookie is used to show you the thank-you page.
Why we collect it
To call you back about the demo you asked for, to prepare a quote for your association, and to keep the form free of automated spam. That is the whole list. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Demo requests are kept for 24 months and then deleted. If you become a customer, your contact details move into the customer records covered by our agreement with your association. Website measurement data is kept for 14 months.
Who sees it
Our own team in Kolkata. Two suppliers process it on our behalf: the company that hosts this website, and the email service that delivers the message to us. Both are bound to use it only for that purpose.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@memdir.in and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Member data inside a directory
When we run a directory for an association, that association decides what member data is collected and why, and we process it on their instructions. Members should raise questions with their own committee, which can reach us at any time. We do not contact an association's members ourselves.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
